Recent Accomplishments

ECHO is proud to provide support services, guidance, and education to cancer patients and their caregivers. Our goal is to address each patient’s individual needs so that no one lacks care or comfort while living with cancer.

Over the course of the 2023/2024 fiscal year, the ECHO Cancer Foundation provided over $80,000 worth of services to cancer patients across 41 towns.

Below is a breakdown of how these costs were allocated.

Rock to Rides

The Foundation has covered $32,658 of costs to support transportation for patients to their essential oncology care appointments. Ninety-nine patients were supported with over 1,413 rides. Learn more about Rock to Rides.

Holistic Health

Over $14,849 of costs were covered for patients receiving integrative medicine care such as massage, Reiki, and acupuncture. The program is currently funded by a generous grant from After the Storm. Dozens of patients have benefited through our partnership. Dozens of patients have benefited through our partnerships with Healing Therapies Thru Sharing and Norwich Holistic Health Center.

Beacon of Hope

The Foundation has provided $17,795 in financial support to help patients cover the costs of rent, utilities, nutritional drinks, gas, school supplies, holiday meals, and groceries. 

Hospitality

The Foundation hosts and has provided over $15,000 worth of items for the hospitality station, now located right outside the infusion center. We offer our patients a variety of snacks and hot and cold drinks during treatment.

The Foundation has also purchased 2 new wheelchairs to assist patients in the office who face mobility issues.

Spreading Holiday Cheer

Dozens of Thanksgiving baskets, complete with turkeys and fixings, were donated to families in need.

Dozens of ham dinners were delivered to patients for the Christmas holidays. Rolls, pies, and all the fixings were provided.

Christmas wish lists for children of patients were fulfilled. 

Backpacks were provided to children to start the school year.
